Corrected by Chaos: The Irony of Mark’s Holy Rebuke

🪞Smearing While Screaming “Smeared”: A Mark Anthony Stephens Original
August 5, 2025There’s a tragic irony in watching someone spiral deeper into chaos while clutching a Bible and claiming victory.
Mark Anthony Stephens has posted endlessly about being “attacked,” “persecuted,” and “wronged.” But let’s ask the question that cuts through all the smoke:
Could Mark even recognize a correction from God?
Or has he become so consumed by projection, deflection, and delusion that any consequence is seen as spiritual warfare… and never as personal accountability?
Let’s examine a few of the glaring signs of correction in his life:
🚫 Not Seeing His Children
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers…” — Malachi 4:6
Mark has been offered chance after chance by courts, doctors, and therapists to rebuild a relationship with his children. Instead, he chose control over connection, and public ranting over private healing.
When your children can’t even feel safe around you…
When court orders have to protect them from you…
That’s not parental alienation. That’s divine correction ringing the alarm bell.
💰 Tax Liens and Financial Judgments
“The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously.” — Psalm 37:21
Let’s review:
Tax liens.
Court-ordered payments.
Judgments ignored.
Child support unpaid.
And yet, Mark claims to be a steward of God’s money?
When your financial life crumbles under the weight of dishonesty and avoidance—it’s not the devil. It’s the bill coming due.
👁️ Losing His Eyesight
“Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?” — Exodus 4:11
Mark now claims his eyesight is failing—so badly, in fact, that he can’t work… but not so badly that he can’t play pickleball, make meme graphics, or post dozens of times a week.
Could this be a mirror of something deeper? A man losing vision, both literally and spiritually, because he refuses to see the truth?
Because in scripture, physical blindness often parallels spiritual blindness.
⛔ Restraining Orders and Court Barriers
“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” — Romans 12:18
Mark doesn’t just have one restraining order. He has four.
From two different women.
And multiple courts.
These aren’t random attacks. They’re legal boundaries placed for protection.
And yet he still dares to preach about being a man of peace and reconciliation?
You can’t reconcile what you keep trying to control.
🧱 The Pattern Is Clear
- Each consequence is framed as a spiritual battle.
- Each judgment is spun as martyrdom.
- Each loss is turned into a sermon about betrayal.
But scripture says something else entirely:
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” — Galatians 6:7
Mark is not being persecuted.
He is being harvested.
He is reaping the exact crop he has sown:
Control.
Deceit.
Deflection.
Manipulation.
Neglect.
And instead of falling on his knees, he picks up his phone and posts a verse.
Final Thought
Correction isn’t always thunder from heaven.
Sometimes it’s silence from your sons.
Sometimes it’s losing your license, your reputation, your access, your credibility.
Sometimes it’s a God who loves you too much to let you fake your way through life anymore.
But you have to want to see it.
And until Mark can tell the difference between a rebuke and a reward,
between Satan’s attack and God’s discipline…
He will stay blind,
bitter,
and broken.
