The Illusion of Grit: Mark’s Sustained Effort to Look Like a Father

🎤 DARVO on Ice: The Mark Stephens Projection Show
August 20, 2025Ah yes, Mark Anthony Stephens — the patron saint of projection — has blessed the timeline once again with his newest sermon:
“Toxic people never tell the full story. They always tell the part where they are the victim and everyone else looks bad.”
Well, slap my forehead and call me psychic — because if hypocrisy were a sport, Mark would have Olympic golds, a Wheaties box cover, and a Nike endorsement deal.
Let’s break this down.
Step 1: Deny, Deny, Deny
Mark loves to play the “I’m just a humble victim” card. But here’s the kicker — he’s left out a few tiny details from his “full story.” You know, the contempt charges, the judgments, the child support arrears nearing three years, the medical neglect of his son so well documented it needed a psychiatrist’s essay-length letter, and the small matter of public outbursts at kids’ basketball games.
But hey — why bring up receipts when you can just wave your hands and yell “Toxic!”
Step 2: Attack, But With Jesus Stickers
Notice how every time the walls close in, he drops posts like this. It’s the spiritual version of spraying Febreze on a dumpster fire. He’s not fooling anyone — the smoke is still there, Mark. All you’ve done is add a thin mist of “Mountain Breeze” to the aroma of rotting lies.
Step 3: Reverse Victim and Offender
Here’s where the magic happens. Somehow, in Mark’s theology, everyone else is the abuser: the courts, the exes, the coaches, the doctors, the teachers, CPS, the entire legal system, even the FDA if they had time to weigh in. The only innocent lamb in all of history? Why, Mark of course.
Which is odd, because the actual reports read like a highlight reel of chaos — stolen hats, disruptive friends, laugh tracks during meltdowns, and medical sabotage. Yet Mark wants us to believe it’s everyone else who’s “toxic.”
It’s like watching an arsonist hand you a pamphlet titled “How to Spot a Firestarter.” Spoiler alert: it’s his mugshot on the cover.
The Gospel According to Dr. DARVO
Let’s be clear: this isn’t insight. This isn’t wisdom. This isn’t even self-awareness. This is pure DARVO — straight from the victim playbook:
- Deny every fact.
- Attack those who expose them.
- Reverse the roles until the real victims are cast as villains.

And Mark? He’s not just a practitioner. He’s basically earned his Doctorate in DARVO Studies. If he had half the commitment to fatherhood that he’s put into this victim cosplay, he might actually be a good dad. Instead, he’s just the Dean of Denial, running daily lectures for an audience of Facebook sympathizers.
So, is this an admission of guilt? Nope.
It’s worse. It’s the sound of a man building a castle out of his own bullshit and inviting everyone to admire the architecture.
